9 Lives

Hello lovers!!! I apologize for not posting in a while. I've had some life changing experiences happen to me since I last posted and wanted get you guys up to speed. So I'll just get right into it...

You're not going to believe what happened to me back in December. So, my BF and I decided that we weren't going to be exchanging gifts for Xmas, but of course, I bought him something anyway and so did he. I sent it to my mothers address so he wouldn't find out what I bought him. Its the week before Xmas, it arrives and I totally get the wrong item. I'm thinking "Ugh, I have a week to fix this"...mind you I bought it online, which may take some time with customer service reps etc, overall a very unpleasant online shopping experience. Anyway, I was so upset about not getting his gift,  that I decided instead of going home, I would go to the local  Dollar Store, why you ask?...b/c retail therapy always helps!...and while I'm there I can check out some Xmas decorations. Well, I arrive to the store sooo upset that I couldn't even concentrate on purchasing anything so I decided to leave. As I'm leaving, I recieve a phone call from my BF asking what I wanted for dinner and I proceed to tell him some hot pastales/tamales, would be great and that I'm leaving and on my way home. I hang up my cell phone, look both ways before crossing the street and BOOM...I get hit by a car. Yes, you read correctly...I got HIT by a freakin' car.

Now, while I'm crossing the street, a two way street, btw that used to be a one way street. I said to myself..."self look both ways". I did and a car came out of nowhere. He actaully came from the corner of the street and clipped me on my left side. I must have been in his blind spot, while he was turning. I had on my huge black down Jones of New York bubble coat, b/c it was 19 degrees out, (which actually I think saved my life, with all that cushion). So, I get hit on my left side, hit and land on the passenger side of the car, my right foot gets run over somehow and BOOM, I hit the ground screaming for my life. A witness actually sees me fall, tries to run to get the drivers attention but no luck, the driver quickly drives away. Can you believe it? He freakin' drove away! There was no way he didn't know he hit me, epecially while driving over my new cognac colored suede boots...UGH the nerve!

So I get to the hospital and within 15 minutes my whole family is there making sure I'm ok. Thank goodness for family b/c without them, life just wouldn't be the same. I'm given meds for all the pain and 4 hours later I'm ok to go home. Long story short, I'm ok...all in one piece and no broken bones, can you believe it? I still can't. I have a lot of back pain nowadays, and now my chiropractor and I are practically BFFs, but hopefully, I'll get better soon. I definitely feel that I have 9 lives, maybe 7 left now, and you all should never take life or family for granted. I'm greatful that I have a wonderful BF and family that loves me very much. Just think things could've been so much worse.
