OPI Black Shattered Nail Polish

OMG! I had to hunt this nail polish down on amazon.com because I couldn't find it anywhere in the stores.

I absolutely love it with Katy Perry's Pink Teenage Dream polish, with all its pretty glitter, its just as pretty without the shatter too. It was a bit difficult to get one coat on as the instructions recommend but you'll get the hang of it. Once it dries a new design shatter pattern appears on each nail. Be sure to put a shiny top coat on and poof your done. Pretty Cool...So Sassy!

Went to the Wendy Williams show today and had a blast! Entertainment and music galore! It was like we were at a night club at 8am in the morning. Had tons of fun! The Comedian/Actor John Leguizamo and Actress Melissa Leo from the movie The Fighter was there. Lucky for us it was a live show, so I was able to set my DVR! If you're in the NYC area tickets are free!...just go online and set your day to go.

They have everything you can think of from the bride/groom, fashion, make-up, and many more great ideas and advice to help you plan the most important day of your life. I'm getting married in Fall 2012 but with all the preparations and planning it can get very overwhelming. Just breathe...and try to have fun, make it a stress-drama free wedding as much possible.

Just to give you guys a back story....

My BF and I met back in Spring 2009 at Port Authority in NYC. We were both anxiously waiting on line for the bus heading back home to NJ from the concrete jungle aka "the City." I would see him occasionally and always thought to myself..."that guy is cute!", but I would just ignore it and would think I'm going insane to be admiring a guy on the bus that I dont even know. But then, there was a specific week where he was either waiting in line behind me or in front of me every day. We would exchange smiles or just have small talk about how late the bus was, but that was it, b/c after all he was a stranger. Until one day, after not seeing him for about a period of 2 weeks or so, waiting in line again, of course, I happened to see him at the bottom of the stairs. I waved to him with excitement and he smiled and waved back. Was he as happy to see me and I was to see him? Then, I stop and think "OMG, I'm such an idiot, WTF was I thinking...I don't even know this guy to be waving at him. "He's going to think I'm a stalker and some kind of weirdo." So, I get on the bus so embarrassed that I bury my head in one of the Twilight books I was reading at the time. All of a sudden, he approaches me, introduces himself and says..."Hi Sweetie, I always see you on the bus, I wanted to introduce myself and get your name." Now, I'm sweating to death and I'm thinking "OMG OMG OMG", but I tell him my name, shake his hand and thank him for introducing himself. After a few months of being bus buddies, and discovering we have sooo much in common, we decided to hang out one Summer night and we never left each other's sight.

A year and a 1/2 later, we moved in together and we're now engaged. He asked me on New Year's Eve, right before the ball dropped in front of all my family and friends. I dont remember all he said, it was just a blur to me b/c I was such shock but he mentioned..."2010 was an amazing year for us both and I want to end 2010 with you as my GF and 2011 with you and my fiance." At that point, I just melted and cried my eyeballs out. It was amazing and such beautiful moment that I still get teary eyed talking about it. I couldn't have had it any other way. When you know...you know and I've never felt so right about anything before in my life.

Now, I have to figure out how to be a Stylish and Sassy Bride on a budget. Let the wedding planning begin!

Hello lovers!!! I apologize for not posting in a while. I've had some life changing experiences happen to me since I last posted and wanted get you guys up to speed. So I'll just get right into it...

You're not going to believe what happened to me back in December. So, my BF and I decided that we weren't going to be exchanging gifts for Xmas, but of course, I bought him something anyway and so did he. I sent it to my mothers address so he wouldn't find out what I bought him. Its the week before Xmas, it arrives and I totally get the wrong item. I'm thinking "Ugh, I have a week to fix this"...mind you I bought it online, which may take some time with customer service reps etc, overall a very unpleasant online shopping experience. Anyway, I was so upset about not getting his gift, that I decided instead of going home, I would go to the local Dollar Store, why you ask?...b/c retail therapy always helps!...and while I'm there I can check out some Xmas decorations. Well, I arrive to the store sooo upset that I couldn't even concentrate on purchasing anything so I decided to leave. As I'm leaving, I recieve a phone call from my BF asking what I wanted for dinner and I proceed to tell him some hot pastales/tamales, would be great and that I'm leaving and on my way home. I hang up my cell phone, look both ways before crossing the street and BOOM...I get hit by a car. Yes, you read correctly...I got HIT by a freakin' car.

Now, while I'm crossing the street, a two way street, btw that used to be a one way street. I said to myself..."self look both ways". I did and a car came out of nowhere. He actaully came from the corner of the street and clipped me on my left side. I must have been in his blind spot, while he was turning. I had on my huge black down Jones of New York bubble coat, b/c it was 19 degrees out, (which actually I think saved my life, with all that cushion). So, I get hit on my left side, hit and land on the passenger side of the car, my right foot gets run over somehow and BOOM, I hit the ground screaming for my life. A witness actually sees me fall, tries to run to get the drivers attention but no luck, the driver quickly drives away. Can you believe it? He freakin' drove away! There was no way he didn't know he hit me, epecially while driving over my new cognac colored suede boots...UGH the nerve!

So I get to the hospital and within 15 minutes my whole family is there making sure I'm ok. Thank goodness for family b/c without them, life just wouldn't be the same. I'm given meds for all the pain and 4 hours later I'm ok to go home. Long story short, I'm ok...all in one piece and no broken bones, can you believe it? I still can't. I have a lot of back pain nowadays, and now my chiropractor and I are practically BFFs, but hopefully, I'll get better soon. I definitely feel that I have 9 lives, maybe 7 left now, and you all should never take life or family for granted. I'm greatful that I have a wonderful BF and family that loves me very much. Just think things could've been so much worse.

Over the weekend, I went shopping for black flats and ended up coming home instead, with those babies up there. I was so happy to have found them in my size, since everyone seems to be a size 6 1/2 or 7 these days...GEESH! They will go fabulous with just about anything.

While at the mall, I saw a lovely lady at Saks Off wearing a fur vest with sandals, nonetheless, and it was 85 degrees out here in the East coast. I guess people just can't wait till it actually gets colder. Anyway, fur has come back in full effect this Fall season, but unfortunately I can't wear fur or faux fur b/c I'll end up getting an asthma attack on the spot. I know its ridiculous but true. Too bad b/c this vest would've gone great with my new shoes :(. For those who can, this vest is too cute and it comes with the belt. LOVE!

So...my BF and I are hooked on the new HBO series "Boardwalk Empire" about Atlantic City, NJ in the 20s. I'm a lil obsessed with that whole era; the fashion, the music, the dancing...love it! He, of course, is into the whole Mafia/Gangster and liquor being illegal in that day and age. Anyway, its inspired us to dress up for Halloween. All he needs is a pinstriped suit, which he already has, and some accessories to add to make a great costume. I just might be a flapper girl or he and I will be Bonnie & Clyde. OMG! Went kayaking this past weekend in the Delaware River and I'm still recovering from the bumps and bruises. Not only did our kayak capsize a million times but it kept getting filled with water and getting stuck on rocks. I lost my tank top, shorts, flip flops, and waterproof camera :(

The first hour of our 10 mile ride was great other then that, next time we'll stick with the rafts. LOL!

Wanted to show you the lovely matte red lipstick, I purchased at my local dollar store. Yes you read correctly, the dollar store!!! The name is GARNET and made from a brand called Jordana. I wear it for special occasions and as you can see it went very well with my outfit around the Holidays.

The new color everyone is ranting and raving about is NEON PINK, not sure how nice that will look with my olive complexion, but hopefully I can try it out and not spend too much money on it if it looks hideous. ;o)

Sedgwick created her own way of fashion and style in the early 60s, but only lived a short life till the age of 28, when her rough childhood, poverty, and drug abuse took over her life.

Ok, so I ran out of body wash and decided to buy myself some toiletries last night. In trying to decide over the million they had at my local CVS, I looked over to the bars of soap and picked me up Yardley Oatmeal & Almond moisturizing soap instead of the usual...plus it was on sale! I don't know about you, but I have to use soap and body wash b/c I just don't feel clean without soap. I know I'm a weirdo! Anywho, with the upcoming season of COLD and my dry skin, I also picked up Softsoap Butter Creme body wash and together they're just amazing...totally recommend it!

P.S: and if you want even smoother skin try this below.

Patrick Swayze passed away last night due to pancreatic cancer at the age of 57. After his performance in "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" he made many young girls hearts melt...He will be missed.

I'm bizzack!!! Was going through a lot at work and my personal life... had to take a break form the blogging. Anyhoo, glad to be back!

Bergdof Goodman took their lovely high fashion models to Stuyvesant Town in the Lower East Side for their Fall 09 Preview Catalog. Can't wait till Fall its my favorite season of the year. I think the photos came out amazing!! Some critics were appalled that these photos were taken there b/c of L.E.S. past bad reputation, but these pics really left me proud Loisaidian. Haven't been there in a couple years may need to visit again soon! ;o)

Cracker Barrel

Took a trip to Cracker Barrel this afternoon for brunch. This Old Country Store and Restaurant is located in Mt. Arlington, NJ. The food and prices are truly amazing. I had a skillet filled with ham, cheese, potatoes, onions, veggies, and scrambled eggs on top. Mmmm so good! Not to mention their biscuits and famous apple butter is to die for! As soon as you walk in, you're in their store, which includes toys, candy, clothing and lil knick-knacks you enjoyed as a kid from the past. The decor at our table was great and included some pics from the American Fur Company in 1923 to 1924 and some safety pins that actually cost only .15 cents back then. Anyhoo, I enjoyed myself and hope you enjoy the pics below. Excuse the outcome of the pics, I was fighting with the dim light in the restaurant.

I recieved Sui Dreams about 10 years ago for a birthday gift and I absoluetly love it. I most definitely need to purchase this perfume again. This is a must-have for the upcoming Summer season. Its a feminine scent blended with citrus, soft flowers and lower notes of vanilla, sandalwood, cedar and nutmeg. Isn't it funny how a familiar scent can bring you back in time?

I haven't been able to make it to the hair salon in a very long time. My stylist just had a baby and I'm praying for her quick recovery and return. Honestly, when someone else does it, its just not the same. Congrats to her and her fam, another female has joined our world. By the way, I've actually walked around the streets with rollers in my hair and felt like this pic above. ;o)
